Lower Seat Frame with Seat Depth Adjuster, Cover and Padding, Separating and Connecting

• The work description is based on a manual or power sport front seat and super sport front seat.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Upholstery Clip Pliers (V.A.G 1634)

Removing






- Remove the cover and upholstery from the seat pan and seat depth adjuster. Refer to => [ Lower Seat Frame with Seat Depth Adjuster, Cover and Padding ] Lower Seat Frame With Seat Depth Adjuster, Cover and Padding.

- Unclip the retaining channels - 2 - from the catches - 5 -.

- Disengage the cover from the tabs - 4 - on both sides.

- Remove the support with seat depth adjuster cushion - 3 - from cover - 1 -.

Cover and Upholstery, Sport Seat, Separating






- Remove the cover - 1 - from the upholstery - 3 - as far as possible.

- Unclip retaining channel - 4 - from clips - 2 -.

- Remove cover from cushion.

Versions with Fabric Covers:






- Remove contour wire - 3 - that is inserted into pocket - 4 - in cover - 5 - from clips - 2 -.

- Remove the cover from the cushion - 1 -.

Versions with Leather Covers:






- Cut through the upholstery clips - 3 - using pliers - 4 -.

- Remove the cover - 1 - from cushion - 2 -.

Cover and Upholstery, Super Sport Seat, Separating






- Remove the cover - 1 - from the upholstery - 3 - as far as possible.

- Unclip retaining channel - 4 - from clips - 2 -.

Versions with Fabric Covers:






- Remove contour wire - 3 - that is inserted into pocket - 4 - in cover - 5 - from clips - 2 -.

- Remove the cover from the cushion - 1 -.

Versions with Leather Covers:






- Cut through the upholstery clips - 3 - using pliers - 4 -.

- Remove the cover - 1 - from cushion - 2 -.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- When installing new upholstery clips with leather covers, use upholstery clip pliers (V.A.G 1634).
