Seat Heating Element, Standard Seat

Removing






- Remove cover and upholstery from seat pan. Refer to => [ Lower Seat Frame without Seat Depth Adjuster, Cover and Padding ] Lower Seat Frame Without Seat Depth Adjuster, Cover and Padding.

- Disconnect cover from upholstery. Refer to => [ Lower Seat Frame without Seat Depth Adjuster, Cover and Padding, Separating and Connecting ] Lower Seat Frame Without Seat Depth Adjuster, Cover and Padding, Separating and Connecting.

- Cut the wire - 3 - off directly at the old heating element - 2 -.

• The old seat heating element remains on the upholstery - 1 - and the new seat heating element is bonded over it.

• Ignore items- A through E - and - arrows - in this reference.

Installing

- Align the new heating element on upholstery.

• Make sure the new seat heating element is affixed to the old heating element.

• Remove the protective films in the bonding sequence for the heating element area.

• When removing the protective film, make sure the heating element is not damaged and that it is attached without wrinkles.

- Bond the individual areas of the heating element in the sequence - A, B, C and D -.






- Bond the bolster area - E - last on all cover versions except the basic fabric.

- Route the connecting wires to the individual heating surfaces in the base of the gaps - arrows -.

- Pull the wire - 3 - through the slit in the upholstery - 1 -.

Further installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
