Clutch Module Overview
• Service the clutch module - 2 -.
A - Alignment Pins
• Not equipped for all vehicles; completely omitted from approximately September 2007
• The alignment pins - A - (if equipped) must lock in the hole - B - when attaching the clutch module - 2 - to the drive plate - 1 -.
B - Alignment Bore
• The alignment pins - A - (if equipped) must lock in the hole - B - when attaching the clutch module - 2 - to the drive plate - 1 -.
The clutch will not function properly if it is not installed correctly.
• The clutch may have noticeable function problems if the alignment pins for the drive plate - A - are not inside the hole in the clutch module - B -.
1 - Drive Plate
• On 4-cylinder engines - 3 holes with threaded sleeves
• With 6- and 8-cylinder engines - 6 holes with threaded sleeves
• With needle bearing
2 - Clutch Module
• With transfer plate
• Components: dual mass flywheel, clutch plate and clutch pressure plate
3 - Bolt
• 60 Nm
• For mounting the dual flywheel to the drive plate
• Quantity: three on a 4-cylinder engine
• Quantity: 6 with 6- and 8-cylinder engines
• Always replace.
