Spray Nozzle, Adjusting

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Windshield Washer Aiming Tool (T40187) equipped with Replacement Tip (3125/5A)

Procedure






Risk of injury.

• If the (T40187) is not used, ensure that both sides are always covered and secured by covers - 3 and 4 -.

• If one side is not secured by the cover, injury can be caused by the (3125/5A) - 1 - or adjusting pin - 2 -.

• When opening each side, always ensure that the other side is not pointing toward the hand.

- Unlock the short cover - 1 - on the (T40187) - arrow A - and push it back - arrow B -.






- Adjust the spray nozzles with the (T40187) so that the fluid is sprayed onto the places shown on the rear window.






• Dimension - a - = 150 mm

• Dimension - b - = 10 mm

• Dimension - c - = 300 mm

- If the spray field does not correspond to the specifications, clean the dirty spray nozzle.

Risk of injury.

• The adjusting pin must be covered and secured by the cover after each use.

Cleaning the Nozzle

- Remove the nozzle. Refer to => [ Spray Nozzle ] Spray Nozzle.

- Flush the nozzle opposite to the spray direction using clear water.

- To remove any remaining impurities, the nozzle must only be blown out opposite to spray direction using compressed air.

- If the spray field still does not correspond to the specifications, replace the spray nozzle.
