Oil Pressure Regulator Valve: Service and Repair






Oil Check Valve and Spray Nozzle Valve

If irregular valve noises disappear after a long drive but always return on short drives, oil check valve must be replaced.

Removing






- Remove intake manifold.

- Remove the bolts - 1, 4, 5, 6, 7 - on the high pressure line retaining clamps.






- Disconnect the electrical connectors on the fuel injectors.

- Disconnect the high pressure lines from the connections - 2 and 9 - on the fuel rail.

- Remove the high pressure lines - 3 and 8 - from the connectors on the fuel rail by counter holding at hex head with an open end wrench and loosening the union nut.

- Remove the high pressure lines.

- Remove the bolts - arrows -.






- Remove the cover together with the crankcase ventilation hose - 1 - and oil return hose - 2 -.

- Remove the seal.

- Remove the oil check valve - 1 - and spray nozzle valve - 2 -.






Installing

Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:

Replace the seals and the O-rings.

- High pressure lines, installing.

- Install intake manifold.
