Transmission Input Speed Sensor (G182) and Clutch Oil Temperature Sensor (G509)

Removing

Risk of transmission damage.

Do not run engine or tow vehicle with oil pan removed or without transmission fluid.

Observe cleanliness rules when working on transmissions, refer to => [ Clean Working Conditions ] 02EA (S-Tronic) Transmission.

- Remove the ATF pan. Refer to => [ Oil Pan ] 02EA (S-Tronic) Transmission.

- Remove the Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) transmission Mechatronic (J743). Refer to => [ Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) Transmission Mechatronic (J743) ] Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) Transmission Mechatronic (J743).

- Remove bolt - B -.






- Remove transmission input speed sensor and clutch oil temperature sensor item - A - together with the wire - C - from transmission.

Installing

Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:

Tightening specifications, refer to:

- Coat transmission input speed sensor and clutch oil temperature sensor with gear oil.

- Insert transmission input speed sensor and clutch oil temperature sensor in side opening on transmission and tighten. Oil Pan, Mechatronic and Transmission Fluid Pump Overview.

- Install DSG transmission Mechatronic. Refer to => [ Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) Transmission Mechatronic (J743) ] Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) Transmission Mechatronic (J743).

- Install the oil pan. Refer to => [ Oil Pan ] 02EA (S-Tronic) Transmission.

- Fill transmission with oil. Refer to => [ Transmission Fluid, Replacing or Filling after Repair ] Transmission Fluid, Replacing or Filling After Repair and check oil level => [ Transmission Fluid, Replacing or Filling after Repair ] Transmission Fluid, Replacing or Filling After Repair.

- Perform a basic setting using the vehicle diagnostic tester.
