Removing

- Remove the nuts - arrows - and slightly pull the underbody cover downward.





• Route the wires as indicated => [ and ] Removal and Replacement.

- Disconnect the orange connector for exhaust gas temperature sensor 4 (G648) - 1 - and free up the wire.





- Mark the exhaust gas temperature sensor 4 - 2 - installed position.





- Remove the exhaust gas temperature sensor 4 - 1 - behind the particulate filter from the exhaust pipe.

• Ignore - 2 -.

Installing

• Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Exhaust Temperature Control Assembly Overview ] Exhaust Temperature Control Assembly Overview.

Installation is in reverse order of removal, note the following:

• Coat the thread on the temperature sensor with hot bolt paste. Refer to the electronic parts catalog ETKA.
