Front Information Display Control Head Control Module (J523), MMI Basic

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Radio Removal Tool (T10057)

• Protective Cap For Cable Connector (VAS 6223/9)

The Front Information Display Control Head Control Module is located in the glove compartment.

- Turn off all electrical consumers.

- Remove the key.

- If control module is replaced, select "Replacement" function for appropriate control module in "Guided Fault Finding".

Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

Removing

- Open the glove compartment.

- Insert two hooks of (T10057) into the release slits on the Front Information Display Control Head Control Module until they engage. Points on the grip eyelets of tool face outward.






- Remove the Front Information Display Control Head Control Module from the mounting frame.

- Pull (T10057) out while pressing on locking tabs on the Front Information Display Control Head Control Module.

- Release and disconnect the connectors from the Front Information Display Control Head Control Module.

- Connect the (VAS 6223/9) - 1 - to the connector for the MOST-Bus - 2 -.






Installing

- Connect all harness connectors.

- Slide Front Information Display Control Head Control Module into installation frame until it engages.
