Shift Interlock Control Module: Service and Repair






Selector Lever Sensor System Control Module (J587) and Tiptronic Switch (F189)

• Selector lever sensor system control module and tiptronic switch are assembled together as one component.

Removing

- Remove the selector lever handle. Refer to => [ Selector Lever Handle ] Removal and Replacement.

- Remove the multimedia system control head (E380).

- Remove the front ashtray.






- Disconnect the connector - 1 -.






- Release the 4 tabs - arrows - and remove the selector lever sensor system control module and tiptronic switch upward.

• Ignore - arrows A -.

Installing

Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:

- Unlock the selector lever sensor system control module and tiptronic switch using the 4 tabs - arrows -.

- Secure the wire for the selector lever transmission range position display unit (Y26) - arrows -.

- Install the front ashtray.

- Install the multimedia system control head.

- Install the selector lever handle. Refer to => [ Selector Lever Handle ] Removal and Replacement.
