Digital Sound System Control Module (J525), Bang & Olufsen

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Protective Cap For Cable Connector (VAS 6223/9)

The digital sound system control module is behind the luggage compartment trim panel on the left side.

- If control module is replaced, select "Replacement" function for appropriate control module in "Guided Fault-Finding" routine.

Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

- Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers and remove the ignition key.

Removal

- Open the left storage compartment in the luggage compartment.

It is necessary first to remove the bracket with the digital sound system control module.

- Disconnect the connectors from the digital sound system control module - 2 -.






- Connect the (VAS 6223/9) - 1 - to the connector for the MOST-Bus - 2 -.






- Remove the nuts and bolts - arrows - from the bracket - 1 - and then remove the digital sound system control module - 2 - with the bracket - 1 -.






- Remove the screws - arrows - and remove the digital sound system control module - 1 - from the bracket - 2 -.






Installation

- Install in reverse order of removal.
