Ground Cable with Battery Monitoring Control Module

Observe notes on contact corrosion, refer to => [ Contact Corrosion ] Contact Corrosion.

Removal






- Switch ignition off.

- Lift the luggage compartment floor covering by the handle and fold it forward.

- Remove the spare wheel well trim, if equipped.

- Remove the vehicle tools.

- Open the cover - 1 - over the battery negative terminal.

- Loosen the nut - 2 - several turns and remove the ground cable from the battery negative pole.

- Disconnect the electrical connector - 3 -.

- Remove nut - 5 - and ground cable - 6 - with the Battery monitoring control module (J367) - 4 -.

Installation

• Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Battery Overview ] Battery Overview.

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

- Install the spare wheel well trim.

- Connect battery. Refer to => [ Connecting ] Service and Repair.
