Digital Sound System Control Module (J525)

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Protective Cap for Cable Connector (VAS 6223/9)

The digital sound system control module (J525) - 1 - is located inside the luggage compartment on the rear panel on the left side.






- If the control module is replaced, select the "Replacement" function for the appropriate control module in the "Guided Fault-Finding" routine.

Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester to do so.

- Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers and remove the ignition key.

Removing

- Remove the luggage compartment rear trim panel..

- Unlock and disconnect the connectors - 4 - and - 5 - from the digital sound system control module - 1 -.






- Connect the (VAS 6223/9) - 1 - to the connector for the MOST-Bus - 2 -.






- Remove the nuts - 2 - and bolts - 3 - from the digital sound system control module - 1 - and then remove the digital sound system control module - 1 -.






Installing

- Install in reverse order of removal.
