Sunlight Photo Sensor (G107)

• There are different versions of the sunlight photo sensor. Therefore, ensure that the allocation is correct using the Electronic Parts Catalog. If a sunlight photo sensor that is not intended for this vehicle is installed (it outputs another signal than provided in the Climatronic control module (J255) ), the Climatronic control module cannot evaluate the signal from the sunlight photo sensor and the A/C system control is defective.

Removing

- Switch off the ignition.

- Using a small screwdriver, carefully pry the sunlight photo sensor - A - off the defroster vent - B - (for windshield).






• Do not damage the surface of the cover of the sunlight photo sensor - A - and the defroster vent - B -.

• The sunlight photo sensor - A - is held with clamps - D - of defroster vent - B -.

- Disengage and remove connector - C -.

Installing

Installation is carried out in the reverse order while observing the following.

- After installation, check the event memory of the Climatronic control module, and erase any displayed malfunctions using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding" function.
