Automatic Dimming Interior Rearview Mirror (Y7) Setting

It is necessary to set LHD when

• A new automatic dimming interior rearview mirror (Y7) is installed.

• In the newer automatic dimming interior rearview mirrors (Y7) , the magnetic zone sensor has been moved from the mirror base to the mirror housing. The steering side "must" only be set in the case of these mirrors.

• The new automatic dimming interior rearview mirror can be identified by the appearance of an "L" or an "A" when button - 2 - is pressed longer than 12 seconds.






- Press button - 2 - for 12 to 15 seconds until "L - for LHD" or "A - for RHD" appears.

- Press the button - 2 - again; the drive side will be changed.

- The display switches automatically to "C - for calibrate" after a short time. The digital compass must now be calibrated. Refer to => [ Digital Compass, Calibrating ] Digital Compass, Calibrating.

- Make sure the interior rearview mirror automatic dimming function is activated again after setting the drive side. Refer to => [ Automatic-Dimming Function, Switching On and Off ] Automatic-Dimming Function, Switching On and Off.
