Front Information Display Control Head Control Module (J523), Through 29 May 2009

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Protective Cap For Cable Connector (VAS 6223/9)

The Front Information Display Control Head Control Module is located behind the glove compartment on the left side.

- Switch off all electrical consumers.

- Remove the key.

- If control module is replaced, select "Replacement" function for appropriate control module in "Guided Fault-Finding" routine.

Use the Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051) to do so.

Removing

- Remove glove compartment.

- Disconnect the connectors - 4 -, - 5 -, the MOST bus and the composite cable from the front information display control head control module - 2 -.





- Attach the (VAS 6223/9) - 1 - onto the MOST-Bus connector - 2 -.





- Remove the bolts - 1 - and - 3 - (3 Nm) and remove front information display control head control module - 2 -.





Installing

- Install in reverse order of removal.
