Camshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair

Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor (G40)/Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor 2 (G163)

Removing






- Remove the front engine cover. Refer to => [ Engine Covers ] Service and Repair.

- Disconnect the connector - 1 -.

- Remove the bolt - arrow - and remove the CMP sensor (cylinder bank 1).

- Disconnect the connector - 1 -.






- Remove the bolt - arrow - and remove CMP sensor 2 (cylinder bank 2).

Installing

Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:

• For the correct tightening specifications, refer to => [ Ignition Overview ] Service and Repair.

• Replace the O-rings.
