Front Subframe: Description and Operation

Subframe, Securing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Locating Pins (T10096)

• Torque Wrench 5-50 Nm (V.A.G 1331)

Installing (T10096)






To secure subframe with transverse links, (T10096) must be bolted to items - 1 -, - 8 -, - 9 - and - 16 -, one after the other.

- Replace bolts with (T10096) and tighten to 20 Nm.

Position of front axle is now secured.

Removing Locating Pins (T10096)

Install in reverse order of removal. Make sure that (T10096) are replaced in succession with new bolts.
