Data Bus On Board Diagnostic Interface (J533)

Removing

- If the control module was replaced, select the "Replace" function for the respective control module in "Guided Fault Finding" or "Guided Functions" using the Vehicle diagnostic tester.

- Select the function or path:






- Follow further instructions on display of Vehicle diagnostic tester.

- Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.

- Remove driver side instrument panel cover.

- Remove bolt - arrows - and remove air duct - 1 -.






- Release retaining clips - 1 and 6 - by pressing them together - arrows -.






- Disengage retaining tab - 2 - on bracket - 3 -.

- Disconnect electrical connector - 4 - and remove Data Bus On Board Diagnostic Interface (J533) - item 5 -.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Install air duct.

- Install driver side instrument panel cover.
