Vehicle Electrical System Control Module (J519), From 06.08

Observe notes on contact corrosion. Refer to => [ Contact Corrosion ] Service Precautions.

Removing

- If the control module was replaced, select the "Replace" function for the respective control module in "Guided Fault Finding" or "Guided Functions" of the Vehicle diagnostic tester.

- Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.

- Remove the 5-plug relay carrier. Refer to => [ 5-Plug Relay Carrier, From 06.08 ] 5-Plug Relay Carrier, From 06.08.

- Disconnect electrical connectors - 2 through 4 -.






- To disconnect electrical connector, press catch - 1 -, turn retaining bracket in - direction of arrow - and remove connector.






- Release retaining springs - arrows - and remove Vehicle electrical system control module - 1 - from the base mount.






Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Install the 5-plug relay carrier. Refer to => [ 5-Plug Relay Carrier, From 06.08 ] 5-Plug Relay Carrier, From 06.08.
