Checking Air Conditioning Idle Compensation

1. Connect voltmeter between terminal 4 and terminal 9, on idle control unit plug.
a. With the ignition and air conditioning on, battery voltage should be present.
b. If not, check for broken wire according to wiring diagram, and repair as necessary.

2. Connect voltmeter between terminals 4 and 11.
a. With the ignition and air conditioning on, battery voltage should be present after the solenoid has cut in.
b. If not, check for broken wire according to wiring diagram, and repair as necessary.
