Distributor Cap: Service and Repair

REPLACING/CHECKING DISTRIBUTOR CAP





- Take off protective cap.

Installation Note

- Engage protective cap in holder correctly.





- Pull out shielded connectors.

Installation Note

- Check firing order.





- Unscrew screws and take off distributor cap.

Caution! Protect hands - danger of injury on sharp cooling fins.

Installation Note





- Check seal (6), replacing if necessary.
- Transfer protective caps (1 and 2).

Checking:





- Check inside and connection cover for hairline cracks and traces of burning.
