DME Control Unit Identification

MODELS:
735iA (E32)

Situation:
The DME initial software page which displays internal DME information may, on some vehicles, contain an error.

Example:
Vehicle under test is an E32. However, the printout reads: VERSIONS E30 UE US/AUS/S





In such instances, the correct control unit application can be verified by checking the "CODE".



The CODE designation (located beneath VERSION) should be compared to the "CODE" listing found in Group 13 of the E32 parts fiche.

NOTE:
This condition does not affect the operation of the fuel injection system; therefore, control units should not be replaced because of it as long as the "CODE" is the correct application.
