Introduction

In 1981, an On-Board Computer was introduced for the BMW Seven-Series models. If offered many economy and safety features, and was subsequently made available on the Five-, and Six-Series Cars.

This brochure deals with a 'Second-Generation' computer which first appeared on the Three's. Known as the "On-Board Computer II," it takes full advantage of the latest developments in semiconductor technology, allowing more advanced circuitry to provide the customer with a greater scope of information, improved control systems, and greater convenience and adaptability.
