Replacement of Instrument Clusters or Instrument Cluster Circuit Boards

MODELS:
3 Series (E35), 5 Series (E34), 7 Series (E32), and 8 Series (E31)

General Information:
If replacement of the Instrument Cluster (E36) or Instrument Cluster Circuit Board (E31, E32, E34) should prove necessary, only Instrument Clusters or Circuit Boards of the same or later software can be installed.

Note:
Determine the software version of the failed cluster or circuit board from the diagnostic printout (identification page) which must accompany the failed part for warranty claims.
