Control Unit Replacement

Removing and Installing Control Unit for Electronic Vehicle Immobilization




- Remove both air grilles.
- Fold down air grille and unlock over pressure point.




- Position air nozzles straight and remove.




- Unscrew bolts.




- Loosen clips.
- Remove panelling.




Control units:




40 Airbag control unit
41 Anti-theft alarm system (DWA)
42 Not used
43 Not used
44 Cruise-control control unit




Version with basic module IV, starting with convertible and EWS 2:
1. Basic Module IV
2. Washer/wiper module
3. Relay module
4. EWS 2 control unit
5. Control unit for cruise control

- Withdraw connector from control unit (5) and unclip control unit
