Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVE AND INSTALL MASS AIR SENSOR

Remove
Turn and remove multiple pin plug (1). Cut off wire strap.

Unfasten hose clip and remove gaiter (2).

Loosen clamps (3 and 4). Remove air-mass sensor.

Install
Check for correct seating of seal in filter housing.

Install air-mass sensor. Secure cable with cable connector.

Replace grill if damaged.

Check the code number when replacing the air mass sensor. Check idling speed and exhaust contents.
