Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Service and Repair

Replacing Coolant Temperature Sensor

REMOVE
- Remove the vent hose.

Coolant Temperature Sensor Wiring:

- Pull off plug (1 = long wire).

Coolant Temp. Sensor:

- Unscrew coolant temperature sensor.

WARNING: Cooling system must be depressurized.

Coolant Temp Sensor:

INSTALL
- Check code.
- Replace seal.
- FD = Production data

Coolant Temperature Sensor Locations:

- Reinstall the coolant temperature sensor (1). Torque to approx. 10 lb ft.
- Fill and bleed cooling system.
