Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Testing and Inspection

RESISTANCE TEST
- Drain coolant.
- Remove the coolant temperature sensor.
- Submerge sensor element in water and measure the resistance across sensor terminals.

@ 68° F = 2.2 K - 2.7 K ohms
@ 176° F = 290 - 360 ohms

Replace the sensor if the correct results are not obtained.
