EWS II Assembly Line Procedures




EWS II ASSEMBLY LINE PROCEDURES







The EWS II control module and four keys are initialized on the assembly line when the vehicle is produced. The following takes place during the coding procedure:

EWS II Control Module
- The EWS II control module and DME control module are synchronized. The ISN number of the DME is transferred and stored in the EWS II.
- The key identification codes, for ten keys, are entered and stored into the EWS II control module.
- The changing code groups for ten keys are entered and stored into the EWS II control module.
- The password is entered into the EWS II control module.
- The EWS II control module and four keys are initialized for operation.

Transponder Keys
The identification code, password and changing codes are entered and stored in four keys. The four initialized keys remain with the vehicle for delivery purposes.

This data is also downloaded to the mainframe for future transfer to the US mainframe for servicing procedures.
