Replacing Cover For Rear Seat Backrest (Load Through System)

Removing and installing or replacing cover for left or right rear seat backrest (load through system)







Remove backrest,

Pull end strip out.







Unclip plate (1).
Remove screw (2) and pull automatic belt tensioner (3) out in upward direction.

Installation:
Tightening torque,
refer to Specifications







Unclip plate at left and right and remove it.







Installation:
Automatic belt tensioner must engage in tabs on the backrest shell.







Remove screw and remove bearing.







CAUTION!
Carefully unclip cover strip at top as the short piece could easily be broken off.


Unclip cover all around.







Unclip retainers and remove cover.


NOTE: Remove all retainer remainders from the padding and cover.


Installation:
Secure cover to padding at positions shown in the picture.







Installation:
Lock new retainers by bending with special tool 52 0 050.

1 Foam section
2 Clip
3 Retaining rod in foam section
4 Retaining rod in cover
5 Cover







Pull securing rods out.

Installation:
Pull old securing rods into new cover, cutting the new cover for this purpose.
