HYDRAULIC UNIT SOLENOID VALVES - THREE WAY BOSCH





Activation of the three way solenoid valves in the hydraulic unit is an output function of the ASC control module. The solenoid valves are spring loaded to a "rest" position during normal vehicle operation. The control module can energize the solenoid valves to two regulating positions which:

^ Apply brake pressure at the rear wheels (pressure build).
^ Maintain brake pressure at the rear wheels (pressure hold).

The solenoid valves receive 12 volts (operating power) from the solenoid vale relay and the control module supplies the ground to activate the solenoid valves during ASC regulation.
