Knock Sensor: Service and Repair

Fuel Injector Harness Removal:

REMOVAL
- Remove the wire harness for the fuel injector plate.

Knock Sensor R&R:

- Unscrew the upper manifold section.

Knock Sensor R&R:

Knock Sensor R&R:

- Disconnect the electric wire channel from the lower manifold section.

Knock Sensor R&R:

- Disconnect water hose.

Knock Sensor R&R:

- Remove knock sensor for cylinders 1 and 2.

Knock Sensor R&R:

- Remove knock sensor for cylinders 3 and 4.

Knock Sensor R&R:

INSTALLATION
- Reinstall knock sensors as shown. Angle "A" = 70°. Verify that installed position of wiring avoids rubbing on the engine carrier. Torque the knock sensors to 20 Nm (14 lb ft).
