Serpentine Belt

Fig. 11 Serpentine Belt Routing:

1. Remove fan cowl by lifting out expansion rivets on both sides.
2. Secure fan pulley with securing tool No. 11 5 050, or equivalent, then remove fan. Fan has left handed threads. Turn nut clockwise to remove.
3. Loosen tensioner lock bolts, then turn tensioner with a suitable wrench to receive tension on belt.
4. Note belt rotation direction, if belt is to be reused, then lift belt from pulleys.
5. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Turn tensioner nut to tension belt, then tighten locking bolts for tensioner.
b. Do not install a belt that has been contaminated by coolant or oil.
