Collision Avoidance Sensor: Service and Repair

Replacing All Rear Ultrasonic Converters




- Unfasten rear bumper.
- Pull bumper slightly towards front.
- Disconnect plug-in connections on ultrasonic converter.
- Remove bumper.




- Unlock locking ring (1).




- Press special tool 66 2 103 firmly home: locking ring is release.





Installation:
- Ultrasonic converter must snap into place in grooves on bumper.







- Insert ultrasonic converter (1) in bumper.
- Fit spring (2).
- Fit locking ring (3) and slide on special tool 66 2 102.
- Locking ring (3) must snap into place audibly and must be positioned firmly to the bumper.
