Glass Panel

Raise the glass panel to the vent position. Manually slide the headliner rearward to expose the rubber gaiters (excluded on E46).





Grasp the center section of the gaiter (1) and gently pull from its slotted mounting on the glass panel (2). Gently work forward and rearward (A-B). The gaiters 'tear" easily if pulled from their edge.

Remove gaiter from other side of sunroof.

Do not attempt to pull the gaiter from the slide mechanism on the lower edge. The gaiter is attached to the slide mechanism by screws.

With the gaiters removed, the panel adjustment screws are exposed.





Example - E39: Two screws at the rear of the panel on each side (1) are visible. An additional screw (2) on each side is also located at the front edge.
