Removing and Installing/Replacing Complete Headlight Assembly


Remove suction-filter housing and air-mass sensor.







Turn connector 1 and remove. Disconnect connector 2.







Lever out retaining clip from top and pull turn-indicator light forwards.







Unscrew screws and remove radiator cover.







Caution! Do not twist expanding rivet (1). Brace with wrench. The expanding rivets (1) are used to adjust the headlight on the body.







Remove screws and pull out headlight.







When installing a headlight, first screw in lower screws as far as last thread, at the same time bracing the expanding rivets.
Check gap (A) between front panel and lens, adjusting it to approx. 2.5 mm by turning lower expanding rivets if necessary.
Then tighten screws while counterholding expanding rivets.







Close hood and check protruding amount (B).
Adjust to approx. 1.5 mm if necessary by turning upper expanding rivets (1).
Then tighten down top screws (2), bracing against the expanding rivets.
