Thermostatic Switch Replacement

Description of Operation:
The thermostatic switch is connected inline with heated washer jets.

Cut-in temperature: 2 - 10 °C
Cut-out temperature: 8 - 16 °C

During troubleshooting, please note:
Switch is usually open since ambient temperature usually exceeds 16 °C
Spraying with cooling spray seldom causes switch to cut in since a reaction time of a few minutes is permitted.

Removing and Installing thermostatic switch for heated windshield washer jets




- Remove bottom panelling at front right.
- Unscrew bolts.




Thermostatic switch is clipped into brake air shaft.




- Unclip thermostatic switch.
- Disconnect connector.
