Roll Bar: Testing and Inspection

Troubleshooting Convertible (Rollover Protection System):

FAULT: Rollover protection bar not ready to trigger (yellow telltale lights up):

CAUSE: REMEDY:
a) Battery voltage < 10.5 V a) Charge battery, let engine run
b) Terminal "R" not switched on b) Switch on term. "R",
check terminal "R"
c) Fuses defective c) Refer to fuse allocation diagram
d) Plug connections interrupted d) Repair plug connection
e) Rollover sensor defective e) Refer to Rollover sensor
f) Actuator defective f) Triggering mechanically
and replacing
g) Breaks in wiring g) Refer to Electrical Schematics

FAULT: Yellow telltale lights up:
CAUSE: REMEDY:
a) CVM software status SWO2 a) Resetting counter, refer to
50 releases stored Diagnosis (from SW03 lamp
only lights up when fault occurs
in RPS). Stick adhesive label to
CVM with counter reading (max. 249)
b) CVM defective b) Refer to Diagnosis
