Electrical - Mechanical (Em) Top

REPLACING BOTH CONVERTIBLE TOP LOCKS:

- Open side windows.




- Lift clamping bracket and soft top compartment cover upright.




- Remove tab washers and disconnect Bowden cables.
- Press together locking device and lift Bowden cables out from underneath.




- Unfasten screws (3) and remove convertible top lid locks.

With right convertible top lid lock, additional:
- Remove luggage compartment trim in center and on left side.

- Expose the lead of microswitch S6 (trunk lid locking mechanism) in the convertible-top compartment.




- Lift out Omega clips.




- Disengage cable tie (2).
- Disconnect plug connector (1), lifting out of bracket if necessary.

Installation:
- Adjust convertible top lid locks.
- Check function.
