Pressure Build

During ASC + T regulation, the solenoid valve is energized by applying a fixed amount of current to the windings. The valve is pulled to the highest position, which allows a hydraulic pressure to displace the plunger. The return is blocked and the resulting effect is a brake force applied to the rear brake caliper(s).

Pressure Hold
The pressure hold phase is achieved when the ASC + T control unit repositions the solenoid valve, by changing the amount of current that is passed through the windings. In this position, no hydraulic pressure can be added to or released from the plunger, and brake pressure is maintained.

During pressure hold, the ASC + T system re-evaluates the percentage of wheel slip to determine if additional regulation is required.
