What Is The "CODE"?

The type of control module dictates what type of code is used for encoding.
The basic code structure for all codes is either a single digit or a series of letters and numbers (hexadecimal).
Hexadecimal numbers are single digit numbers and letters that have four digit binary equivalents (1's & 0's).
A single binary number group can provide one piece of coding information or be broken down up to four times providing four different bits of information for the purpose of control module coding.
In either case the code is interpreted by the MoDiC or DIS as an input to generate specific coding data. The data is sent to the control module which produces a unique vehicle specific control module.
