General Information (Customer Letter)

There are two slightly different letters:

- one for owners of a sedan, coupe or convertible, but not the Z3.

- one only for owners of the Z3.

Different letters were appropriate due to the Z3 not having rear seating capability.

Under separate cover, each dealer principal will receive a copy of these letters for reference, accompanied by a cover letter, as well as a supply of Reference Cards and Labels.

BMW Safety Tips Reference Card

This multi - colored card (copy attached; P/N 71 21 2 122 691) refers to many safety functions such as

- Positioning of safety belts

- Door locks

- Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS)

- All Season Traction (AST; not applicable to all models)

Place the card into the passenger door storage pocket. Vehicles delivered from the VPCs/ICP will have the card placed either into the glove box or in the door pocket.
