Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Service and Repair

Replacing Coolant Temperature Sensor (M73)

Switch off ignition.







Location: under the front cable duct on the water pump housing.







Remove non-return valve on cylinders 1-6,








Disconnect connector. Remove temperature sensor.
Tightening torque,
refer to Technical Data 13 62 6AZ.

Senders For Control Unit 13 62:

Installation:
Replace seal.
Check coolant level and top up with coolant if necessary.

Interrogate fault memory of control unit on Digital Motor Electronics (DME), check fault messages in memory, rectify faults and cancel fault memory.
