Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Service and Repair

Replacing Coolant Temperature Sensor (DME) (S62)

Interrogate fault memory of DME control unit.
Switch off ignition.
Remove and install left intake hose.







Disconnect plug connection (1).
Remove temperature sensor (2).



NOTE: Top up with coolant, vent cooling system and check for leaks.


Use only recommended coolant.
Interrogate fault memory of DME control unit. Check stored fault messages. Rectify faults. Now clear the fault memory.
