Idle/Throttle Speed Control Unit: Service and Repair

Replacing Idle Speed Control Valve (S62)

Interrogate fault memory of DME control unit.
Switch off ignition.
Remove and install intake air manifold.







Disconnect plug connection (1) on idle speed control valve.







Release hose clamps (1).
Detach hose (2) from idle speed control valve (4).
Remove rubber mount (3) from retaining bracket.
Remove idle speed control valve (4).







Installation:
Lay rubber mount around idle speed control valve and attach with retaining lugs (1) to retaining bracket.
Interrogate fault memory of DME control unit. Check stored fault messages. Rectify faults. Now clear the fault memory.
