Transmission Position Sensor/Switch: Service and Repair

(A5S 440Z)

Caution! Risk of burning from exhaust system when working on position switch. Therefore: allow exhaust system to cool down.





Release screws and remove protective panel (1).





Release screws and detach position switch (1) from manual shift valve shaft.

Tightening Torque, refer to Specifications.





Unlock and remove cable connector (1).

Detach cable connector from retaining bracket.

Unclip cable from retaining clips on oil sump.
