Business BM53 Radio: Navigation Volume Too Low

MODEL
E46 (3 Series)
E39 (5 Series)
E53 (X5)

Vehicles produced from 09/2001 to 10/2001 with option 609 (Navigation System Professional with Business BM53 radio)

SITUATION
When a navigation route guidance announcement is made in "cassette" mode, the volume of the announcement is reduced to approximately one half compared with the same announcement in "radio" mode.

CAUSE
Software error in the Business CD53 radio

CORRECTION
Replace the radio.

Refer to repair instruction RA 65 11 055 "Removing and installing/replacing radio receiver".
