Retrofit

Retrofitting is a feature that has been used in other markets. Retrofitting allows system upgrading by adding an additional component to an existing system.

Retrofit automatically recodes the existing system to recognize the new equipment and put it into its scope of operation.

Example. A basic DWA system was purchased as an option when the customer initially bought with the vehicle.

One year later the owner decides he wants a tilt sensor added to the DWA system. A retrofit recode is required for this addition.
