Control Module Identification




Control Module Identification

It is of the utmost importance to know how to properly identify DME control modules prior to programming. The control modules are identified by:







- BMW Part number
- BMW Hardware number
- Bosch Hardware number

These numbers are displayed in the following locations:
- Control module ID label
- Control module ID display using the Diagnostic program of the DIS.


It is essential that the proper BMW part, hardware and Bosch hardware numbers are displayed in the control module. A mis-matched control module can malfunction cause unexplained driveability complaints.
