SUBJECT
Instrument Cluster Beeps when Reverse Gear is Selected

MODEL
E46 (3 Series), M3 with SMG

SITUATION
After installing an (DWA) alarm system, or after recoding the Kombi (Instrument Cluster), the kombi beeps continuously when reverse gear is selected.

CAUSE
Fault in coding data in DIS CD 28

CORRECTION

- Recode the Instrument Cluster using DIS CD 29.0 or later.

- Select Coding/Programming.

- Select option "3 ZCS/FA Coding"

- Select option "7 E46 3 series"

- Select "1 Recoding"

- Select "10 KOMBI"

- Select "2 Recode control unit"

- Follow the on-screen instructions.
